Our very own Chris Koelle has a new T-shirt design for sale at teefury.com. Chris works for GP part time doing some retouching and design. He spends the rest/majority of his time working with his wife Annie as artists and creators of various things, including, but not limited to, awesome T-shirts.

After midnight tonight, however, it’s history so get it while there’s getting. They’re a deal at $9 and purchasing a shirt will support Chris as well, so this is a win win.

Doctor Atomic

Last weekend, I journeyed north to my folks home for the weekend. Then, on Monday, three of my brothers and I went to the New York premier of John Adam’s new opera, Doctor Atomic. We got there in the morning and spent the majority of the day at the MOMA and walking about the city.

The opera was a wonderful experience, very thought provoking and inspiring. The conductor was really fine, very precise in some very complicated passages. I didn’t have anything but my point and shoot with me, but I did take a couple shots in the city. Caleb grabbed the first couple shots here of me in front of the Metropolitan Opera House.

We had a great time.

One of the items on my brother Josh’s to do list was to walk across the Brooklyn bridge, so walk across we did.

A stair case inside the MOMA.

I can’t remember who this piece was by, but it made a cool photograph.

Lola

Viola Grace was born one year ago today. Mollie and I can’t believe how fast this time has gone. She has been such a bright spot in our year. She always has a smile for anyone who needs one.

Some of you might have missed her birth story. You can find it here.

I took these first two images the day she was born.

Tonight we had a her one year birthday party. The timing was perfect in that my mother, who shares her birthday with her, was in town and we all celebrated the girls together. Too bad her other grandmother, who also shares the same birthday, couldn’t have been her as well. Yes, you read that correctly, Lola shares a birthday with both of her grandmothers.

We had three generations present at this one. Here are Mimi & Big Daddy, Lola’s great grandparents enjoying a bit of Lola.

Mollie had a whole bunch of finger treats for us. She and Jude made a trip today to the store today, and got all things pink.

She didn’t really get the hang of opening things, but she was curious about the new objects presented to her.

Eventually, she started to get the idea. What a little peach.

Grammy, got a few things as well. Grammy also bought us all gifts to celebrate her birthday. Thanks Mom!

Jude was happy to help out in the fire department. The only thing Lola was interested in was touching the candle.

Grammy got one too.

Lola’s first experience with a cupcake, and, she wasn’t all that impressed. She definitely had a different approach then the boys did when they turned one.

We wanted to show Grammy the hat Mollie recently made for Lola. As soon as we put it on she gave us a couple of looks.

Finally, a couple portraits of our one year old. So much changes in one short year, I can hardly take it.

I hope some of you who haven’t gotten to experience Lola yet, will get to one day. It will do you good.
